Tissue resistivity measurement with MRI

In a joint research project with professor Jari Hyttinen of the Ragnar Granit Institute (TTY), MR imaging is utilised to obtain tissue resistivity information. The project is funded by the Academy of Finland and by the Seinäjoki Hospital research foundation.

Two main approaches utilised are:

• Eddy currents produced by assymetric gradients
  
  
• Proton sequences
