Modular Mobile Health Care Unit for disaster areas and third world countries
The aim of this project is to study the requirements and technologies needed
to develop a new mobile health care unit to be used in disaster areas and third
world countries. The unit would contain necessary telecommunications and telemedicine
equipment, be self-contained in terms of power and other resources for a significant
period of time, and also be modular so that it could be adapted to a wide range
of needs. In contrast to existing field hospitals and similar currently available
mobile units, this project aims to develop a smaller, lighter, more compact and
economical solution.
